I chose All-American as an alternative to the very expensive camps being held on college campuses. I liked the idea of staying local so kids could sleep in their own beds at night, eat home-cooked meals, and have their evenings free. We held an All-American Camp early this past summer. We wanted to take our program to the next level of competitiveness and believed one of the best ways to do so would be to have our players attend a field hockey camp with highly skilled instruction. Unfortunately, cost has always been a prohibitive issue for many players. With All-American Camp, the fact that we could hold it within our home stadium at a VERY reasonable cost provided the needed element of convenience which was hard to refuse. During the camp, our coaching staff was able to watch and observe what was being taught to our players. We were extremely impressed with how the instructors spent quality time with our players... teaching them the advanced skills (along others we had identified as lacking within our program). This camp kicked off the Summer preparation our players used to get ready for the upcoming season. Our coaching staff was extremely satisfied in both the quality and efforts put into this camp. It was a great springboard into the upcoming season. The response of our players and families in how happy they were with the camp also cinched our decision to have the All-American Camp return next Summer. The All American Field Hockey Camp proved a great way for us to jump-start our season. Our players loved the coaching staff and responded to their creative skills and drills. As a brand new program, it was very beneficial to have an experienced team of coaches come in and show our players the basics. They were able to give our girls a realistic expectation of the rules and gameplay that they would encounter during their first season.
